Graham
Jon Davis from Conan uses one of their custom fuzzes, and sounds awesome. He may be a guitarist, but tunes so low that he may as well be a bassist

fuzzonaut
I used to have a Volt Thrower, some sort of highly modified rat, running on 18V or 36V (Headroom!). Really great and verstile pedal, due to the 5 or 6 clipping options. Especially the tone stack was amazing, those knobs really did something! Can get very, very loud as well. No problem in the mix, put it where you want - but then, my band doesn't have a drummer - it's just guitar and bass (and some noise boxes). I sold it, because it was somehow too versatile, for me, too many cool sounds in one box. If that makes any sense. And I'm more of a muff guy anyway .... Did you find the drum&bass demos, going through all the clipping options?
