chrismuzz
Hi Chris
Actually, I should have updated this thread.. thomann sent me an email and text message yesterday telling me it's been sent back to me at last! I had a faulty preamp PCB which has been replaced. I've used the Peavey monster for the last run of gigs and its performed beautifully but my God is it hard to carry! The guys in my band say it sounds better but I'm not sure yet, I'll probably use them both!!
tbonepete
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Fingers crossed that you're happy with the returned amp, and glad you're enjoying the " Bunker Buster" lol. A compromise could be the Musicman amps which from recent posts seem to be a small class D Markbass amp in a large amp box, thus pleasing both your band mates, and your back at the same time! Lol. Cheers Pete
chrismuzz
Update time! So I got my LMT800 back. they replaced the faulty preamp PCB. Took nearly two months which really annoyed me, but at least it's back and working as it should! Being without it for a while has worked out to be a positive though... I have gigged it a grand total of zero times but I have rehearsed it once. I just prefer the Peavey so much! I can't really put my finger on it... it sounds bigger, fuller, but without losing that top end aggressive sound. I've only ever used amps with a solid state power section before... Is this that "all valve warmth" that people talk about?
