Born 2B Mild Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 I've heard tell, that Danny Thompson has two double basses ...one called Victoria and the other, Albert. Quote
teen t-shirt Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 i've got a Peavey Millenium BXP i'm thinking of naming either "her", "my baby" or "millie" or perhaps "Becky" which would you choose! Quote
LukeFRC Posted August 11, 2008 Posted August 11, 2008 i dont name, dont want too either. its the warwick or the status.... but warwickhunt called my warwick bluey and it seems cruel to take a name back so bluey it is. Unfortuantly that means its described as 'bluey' and my other bass as 'the other one'. Quote

I call my Tune's strap "Ernie Ball", for some obscure reason. The Tune is called "Tune". If I ever get a cat, I'll call it "Cat", I suppose. Quote

Jarhead Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Mines called Allison, after my mates mum lol long story short, we were on annual camp with cadets, we were going out in the field and had been issued rifles. Our section commander asks us 'What's yours called?' and after a few minutes we all had names for our rifles. i named my rifle Allison to piss my mate off, and since then i take to calling every inanimate object around me Allison when he's here lol Zach Quote
Tinman Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Called my Shuker 'Lady T' after the wife. It's written on the headstock. I have various reasons for doing this, that I won't go into here:) The lads in the band call it 'The Marmite', the gits! They reckon I had Jon spread the stuff on it before laquering. Quote

NancyJohnson Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 I'm getting a tad irritated with my old Precision. It's currently referred to as that 'Piece of sh*t'. When it's replacement arrives I'll probably start waxing lyrical about it and calling it Lurlene or something. P Quote
ashgeezer Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 My MIM Precision is called THE BIG BLUE. ( For obvious reasons) Quote
Galilee Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Depends how I'm playing. Recently, it's mostly been called a F***ING STUPID PIECE OF CR&P. Quote
