Beedster
TI Jazz Flats are OK on through body bridges, La Bella Deep Talkers are not, and the Pyramids are somewhere between the two in terms of tension and stiffness. Having learned my lesson with the La Bellas (and why is it always the most expensive string that breaks), it seems best to ask. Before you ask there is no non-through option on the bass in question Cheers Chris
BassBod
I'd be cautious - maybe email them. I've had Pyramid Golds break (often in the case!) near the tuner and at the bridge saddle, which would make me think twice about thru body. Lovely strings...... brensabre79
Same as above, I used the Pyramid Golds with a badass bridge, wasn't even strung through, first time I've broken a string ever! Shame as they sounded lovely.
KK Jale
Nope. I wouldn't do it.
Beedster
Thanks all, greatly appreciated, you've likely saved me a few quid there Chris
3below
Chris OTOH I have Pyramid Golds on my SG bass. Have had them on and off a fair few times with string experiments, making bridge bar and playing with setup. They have taken this treatment well and no issues yet. Sometimes they appear at very good prices on the well known internet auction site. I will second the TI flats, I use the 'through bridge plate' stringing on my Kramer DMZ, no problems in 3 years yet. EssentialTension
At last night's gig I broke a Pyramid Gold A string - strung through the bridge (not body) and broke at the saddle. The string dates from late 2008. So good value for money if nothing else. Edited April 11, 2015 by EssentialTension
