franzbassist
Has anyone seen/played the 'Joker' model by these guys? I've seen a video, but it's of a 30" scale...have they done a 34" version?
I'm in discussion with Adrian about a Joker at the moment. I asked him that very question, and he said the longest scale he can do for that model is 32".
Musicman20
Ah I think I really need to seriously consider one of these. The problem is the amount of options is baffling!

The first - my 'burst - wasn't a problem, as I knew exactly what I wanted, but with my new one I could have agonised over spec forever. It basically got to the point where I had to - excuse the language - 's**t or get off the pot'. :-)

GCYPbass
Anybody has experience with Haeussel single coils? I am guessing they are vintage sounding but would like know what users think. What other single coil PUs you had/have experience with and how do Haeussels compare?

NickD
My Elwood L5 has Haussels. Humbucker at the bridge and single at the bridge. I think they sound great, loads of poke, to the extent that more would probably be too much for me. I don't have much to compare with, but they sound much less modern than my Bass Collection or Lakland, and warmer than my Warwick... if that means anything. thebrig
I'm joining the club too, I've just ordered a Medium Scale Jake with Maruszczyk P&HB, 38mm nut, 3 Tone sunburst with matching headstock, block inlays and white binding. The next three or four months of waiting is going to be absolute agony!
thebrig
As others have advised, I used TransferWise to send the money who only charged me £2.54 for the transaction, I first checked with Nationwide to see how much they charge, and they said that there will be a charge of £20 for the deposit, and another £20 for the balance, £40 just to send some money, absolute rip off!!! It took just a few minutes to sign up and send the money with TransferWise.

ezbass
Messing around with photo editing is dangerous, I even have an exact spec in mind. TorVic
Happy to join the M-club. Recently acquired this Elwood 'Blacky' bass: http://www.public-pe...ky-custom100131 Am very happy with the sound, construction, and playability. Want to get a fretless one and the best one I've seen online is this - both the bass and amongst Adrian's demos: (my only gripe against it are the blocked inlays - will look for a similar spec without it) http://www.public-peace.de/index.php/bass-guitars/fretless-basses/593-elwood-4a-absolution-black-burst-fretless240169 Edited May 21, 2016 by TorVic
Fisheth
Hey guys, been off site for ages. So I've got thirty odd pages of this thread to go through. Looking forward to seeing what sort of basses you guys have got from Adrian! I'm planning another one from him, as I've been saving for about seven odd months. My band folded and now the money I have that was going to recording is now going to another bass. I'm wanting another Jake for sure, with a MM/Split P combination and a Sea Foam green colour scheme. However I can't find many basses with a reversed headstock that's a P style. Didn't someone in here get one of those from Adrian? (Seabasskid?) What did it look like and how much was it added onto the price? Looking at going no pick guard for this one too. Bit of a departure from my usual solid colour/chrome guard but I wanted a change. I added it about 3 weeks into the build, luckily it wasn't a problem. It didn't add anything to the price though. I think the only part that knocked the price up slightly was the ebony board.
