spyder
Hi everyone. I'm in the market for a four string super jazz and I'm gassing for a Xotic. What are your opinions on them. Thanks.
juliusmonk
They're fantastic. Xotic's and Lakland's are my favourite jazz-flavoured basses. You may want to look at Alpher too, I had one Mako that was a beast of a jazz. Carvin also make a jazz that nails the Marcus tone, if that's what you're after. mazdah
I tried this bass: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uAshofkfSjc ... and it's simply AWESOME! The neck is slim and fast, but very comfortable. The sound is top notch. Those basses (all of their basses I think) have their amazing Tri Logic Preamp inside. haimesy
I have an Xotic XJ , I would highly recommend them , great for practical eq adjustment mid gig.. A joy to play.. I also have a Carvin SB which is a great bass, and one of the easiest and comfortable To play that I have owned... There have been a few Xotics for sale on here recently , so keep an eye out.. molan
I really like them but another brand to try before you buy. I've played one that was completely lifeless and bland and another with a, very slight, fretboard issue. I think these are real exceptions though, every other one I've tried has been uniformly excellent

peteb
Another Xotic Jazz player - thoroughly recommend them, sounds and plays as good as any jazz I've ever played...
