cachao Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) Only just took delivery of this bass from Thormann recently. Bought on a whim, but it really does not suit me, or the music I play, that is mostly blues. It has far more of a modern sound. At this point, I am interested in trades, and have a liking for more traditional instruments, although I do prefer jazz profiles. This pic is from the GAK site, but mine is pretty much identical apart from mine having the midrange selector switch. Edited January 30, 2015 by cachao
Davy Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I've got an SR500 and can confirm that these are great basses and well worth the money. I've bought and sold many basses in the last couple of years and NONE of them has made me want to sell my SR500! GLWTS.
niichren Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 I would be interested in this... Have you got a picture of the Bass itself show so I can see the Fret wear please?
cachao Posted January 28, 2015 Author Posted January 28, 2015 Yes, I can get some photos up, but being about four weeks old, there is no fret wear.
Bassdude BE Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) i've got a warwick RB shortscale up for trade, bought new from Thomann just 2 months ago. Looking for a trade because my big hands can't adjust to the short scale. it's this one: http://www.thomann.d...e_bk_aktive.htm Is that of any intrest to you? Count Bassy Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Before you sell consider putting half rounds on it! I found mine too modern sounding (a bit of a funk machine) but Status half rounds transformed it into a very flexible bass, which sounds just great for Blues.
cachao Posted January 30, 2015 Author Posted January 30, 2015 Have now agreed a trade. I would like to thank all those who contacted me with some very tempting offers.
