I write "up to" since John told me that not all of them were finished. It's a nice bass, unlined ebony fingerboard, EMG pick-ups, patterned after a (his?) '62 jazz bass. Would Jaco have liked it, who knows? Could he have got on with an unlined board? Would he have wanted to change batteries? doctor_of_the_bass
Hallo! The GA 24 is around 14 inches wide I think Steve....! There's a new bass shop opening here in Peterborough (cough cough!) and the guy has a pink GA for sale and a 6 string Calibas, plus a replica of the famous red Live At Wembley Classic bass in red which is not for sale but you can have a go on it, if you like - the guy there is a really nice fella, name sounds a bit like Rick Stiff! cheers!!! I'd particularly like a Mark King Series 3 in cherry red. There is a Roadie that I've taken a fancy to, but I'm going to give it a couple of days to see if I get offered anything else.
Interested in my S1? And I'd be so worried that it'd get broken on it's way over here.
It arrived here in one piece, it'll get there the same. With fears like these there would be no business for anybody. Insurances are paid to sleep well As for the price, well that's up to you. This JD is something special, said the sales man LOL. Now seriously this is REALLY special because it mounts pick ups coming straight from MK own JD from the '80s and its shape is also the original one, slightly narrower wings and body thickness. It's almost in the same conditions it would come out when new from John's shop and its delivery time is 5 business days . The price is not cheap but is less than a new one and this not taking in consideration the personal value of the p/ups and rosewood knobs. If you think your budget is definitely far, then no problem. If you're thinking about it I'll send you a PM with details.

That was an unusually light 6 string. Every Jaydee I've owned has been on the heavy side, it's a lot to do with the hardware. The string saddles, bridge and sustain block are all made of brass. Then there's all of the wood. I've had three Wal's, an all maple Stingray and an Alembic and they were equally as heavy as this. My mate's Fender Marcus Miller bass weighs loads too. Chris2112
I suspect that John's time is mostly spent making Mark King-alike basses so the 6 strings/Calibbas models are accordingly rare!
