A very nice pair, sir!! :)
Is the one on the right a Cherry 'burst?
The see-thru guard shows it off nicely too.

Cheers. I think its either Honeyburst or Autumn Burst. Very orange & yellow in the flesh.
Sound Control had a 5-6 Stingrays when I bought it 20 years ago or so. It had the best paint job.

Ok, did it this time. Actually, it didn't take too long after all. The 'other porn' served to fill the time...
The vid is nicely done too and your basses look truly wunnerful!
So what do you think of the 25th Anniversary?
And who's the music you used for the vid? (Carlton? Ritenour? Stern? etc.)
I will be back in the MM club, sometime next week!

A Sterling will arrive, then will take a trip out for a refin in a cool shade of blue, something along the lines of sonic blue, maybe the same powder blue as on the EB classic models. The powder blue seems to work better with the maple necked basses? It will be nitro and will be having a tort pick gaurd as well!
I just replaced the tortoise pickguard on my autumn redburst sparkle Stingray 5 with a black one:

I do like tort guards but have to say the black replacement does look nice on yours.
I'm also just curious - the B string in your headstock photo seems a little slack beyond the nut.
Just wondering if that's the string being a tad loose, or is there perhaps an issue with the nut/slot?

The set of strings is a brand new set of Elixirs, and I think I must have mistakenly put an Extra Long Scale B-string on there, that I had laying around for stringing my Ibanez ATK305 through-body. So it's already at its thickest where it meets the tuner, resulting in this odd curve. The tuner itself and the nut are perfectly fine, this did not happen with the previous set of strings (as seen in this picture from the original eBay auction):
Very nice indeed. And judging by the above photos in particular, I'd say it's all round to yours for a Music Man paaaartay, what!?! :)
Well there is a story to that pics with the drink stuff. I am a t-totaller, what does a t-totaller gets as present at Xmas from his clients? You've guessed it! Hundreds of cases of beer, wine and spirits, he doesn't even appreciates!

So what I decided to do on the day I received the bass, I threw a party on board (our ship) and those drinks were consumed within a couple of hours from the 45 crew members I work with who were all happy to wet the baby's head this way.

here's probably the besy bass I've ever owned and will never part with - '79 Stingray that cost me two Fenders in a trade in '84. The Stingray was and is that good.

The G&L Asat also in pic is an 89, also from when Leo owned the company - this one's a signature model too.
