stingrayPete1977 Posted February 13, 2011 Posted February 13, 2011 My first picture of all three Rays together! Im looking forward to the spring so I can get them photgraphed outside in the sunlight as the Blue Pearl and the Teal Green really look much better in the flesh. Linus27 Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 Here is my wonderful, gorgeous sounding 2EQ fretless Stingray. Quote
Hobbayne Posted February 25, 2011 Posted February 25, 2011 This is the first Stingray I have ever owned, I,ve been playing bass for CENSORED years, always fancied one but never owned one, having been a P Bass player. Bought from a Basschatter last month. Quote
waynepunkdude Posted March 3, 2011 Posted March 3, 2011 Quick pic of my latest acquisition, I'll get some better ones up soon. Quote
Quick pic of my latest acquisition, I'll get some better ones up soon.
I love the maple neck and the petite body shape looks fantastic, Is there much physical difference in size between this and a Ray (I think you owned a Ray before Wayne?) or is it more just the shape difference combined with slightly slimmed dimensions because they look so sleek compared to Rays. Quote
naruki Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Yeah its a Dargie II, its beautiful <3 difficult to show the color change using a phone camera though. Quote

steverickwood Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011
Sweet, that lavender ray is interesting I also saw an albert lee with a flamed maple top in pink burst or something like that in my local clown control before it closed down, i'm not one for pink finishes but my god it looked amazing! EDIT: i think it may have been one of these
I used to own a lavender 5 like that; lovely bass, and it looked great. Quote
Huntsta Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 Thought I'd add my newly acquired Ray to this thread. Its a Honeyburst with flamed neck. Now there's quite a few of them around but this one has, at some point in the past been fitted with a seymour duncan bassline pickup and seymour duncan preamp. I have to say that in a direct comparison with my stock stingray it blows it away. Ray purist may shudder or look on with disgust but seriously I had a revalation moment when I tried this one. Personal opinion folks. Anyway I love this to bits and its a beaut to play. Quote
Duarte Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 That's a beauty! Although I do consider it blasphemy to install Duncan electronics to a Ray ...to me the entire point of any MusicMan is the electronics. Quote
Ghost_Bass Posted March 4, 2011 Posted March 4, 2011 I think it's fair to give one last show to this beauty before i part him him tomorow. Wonderful bass but at the moment the TRB has the sound i'm looking for...
