Don't blame you, she's a beaut!

Im not sure then, we need a Classic 4 owner :)
Hi guys - on my 2010 Classic SR4 - centre to centre - 93 mm; inner - 82 mm both approx.

The saddles are hollow but look a larger diameter than I remember on my pre EB Ray.

Not sure if I have posted this before...

Here is the one that got away. I stupidly sold it a few years ago and have regretted it pretty much everyday since. If I knew where it was now I'd do almost anything to get it back! It had one of the best maple necks I have ever seen.

Here's my fretless Stingray 5 from 1993, in the trans white (Mary kay) finish. Can't stop playing the damn thing

There are some droolworthy basses on this thread but these two are v special indeed.

If anyone has one in either of these colours or peach that they want to sell, I'll be very interested!

Here's my latest toy, bought from Stealth on Basschat.

It's a 2003 Fretless with the most wonderful figuring on the neck and a superb bass to play too :)

Blimey Nick, that is gorgeous in a big way. Hope you like and stick with it. Very sweet looking bass indeed.

Here is the bass that made me sell my 1999 Teal SR4.

1989 (birth year - woohoo!) Stingray 4 - Trans red, clear pickguard, 2EQ, stunningly beautiful birdseye maple neck and fingerboard, plus Hipshot Detuner and Dunlop Straplocks added by me:

Nice one Nick. Must have made a batch of these figured fretless necks around 2002/3 - looks just like mine.

Here's the Teal Stingray that I recently bought from Higgie:

I changed the black pearl pickguard to abalone today but I'm not sure I'm feeling it. What do you guys reckon?

My old much-modded '79 pre-EB Stingray, which I parted company with in 1986 when I couldn't pay the rent one month. Regretted it ever since. If anyone knows of its whereabouts, I'd be keen to get it back...

I love that Abalone plate - put me down as first on the list if you choose to take it off..

Here's my 2001 'Ray - nicer looking than my 1994 (now with Sshorepunk) but somehow lacks something that the old girl had..this has a plain Maple neck as opposed to Bird's Eye on the '94, later 'Rays don't have the string dampeners and this lacks the Detuner, which I didn't use anyway..eevn so I find myself reminiscing for the '94..

MMSR5 1993:)

Nice to see another 'whitey'. Mine's an '89 model but I changed the guard for a white pearl one.
I was just wondering, is that a hair-line crack in the body - or (hopefully) just a hair on the photo?!

big lacquer crack, but i don't care:) I own this bas for over 5 years and nothng is happening. I bought it with this crack.
Ah, thanks for clarifying. Mind you, it's not as though it will seriously affect the sound of what is a superb bass.
I should also say my own SR5 is far from perfect with it's own share of digs and blemishes.
As far as I'm concerned, it all adds to the mojo... :)

I have a couple of digs at the bottom end and a black "stain" on the back... (possibly a result of years of wearing dark shirts at sweaty gigs!! ;) )
