I know what you mean. I've always been of the 'a 'Rays neck must be maple' mindset, but hand on heart the rosewood one plays the best out of the three (they all play nice, but that one just feels right) and looks wise it's just different/unusual enough to be very enticing 😉

My 2002 lefty, recently bought it back and it had really been neglected. A good clean, new machine heads, battery box and assorted screws and a setup
and it's just about as good as new.

Very happy to have it back, sounds lovely, so much so that I can't remember why I sold it in the first place!
