Loving the look of your blue one. Expand So I understand. A bit too left field for Fender and Musicman officionados. I went for the Caprice because I was looking for something ‘smoother’ than the Ray or Sterling but I’ve never been overly keen on Jazzes. The nice light weight was also a bonus. casapete Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Nice basses Mart. Any idea how light the Caprice actually is ( and also the Starry Night come to think of it)? Cheers, Pete. Quote

casapete Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Wow, 8lbs is in my ballpark Mart! As you know, am itching to get another MM so this has given me hope to seek one out. Maybe get some help from Santa with this..... 😊 Quote
martthebass Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 You're welcome to come and try it Pete - see if it suits Quote
casapete Posted December 3, 2018 Posted December 3, 2018 Thanks Mart, may take you up on that after the silly season. Cheers, Pete. Quote
dub_junkie Posted March 20, 2019 Posted March 20, 2019 Sterling Ray34ca which arrived today. Still setting it up to my liking but already hoping it fills a niche in my basses and stays. 1 Quote
Pea Turgh Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 I’ll take the last one, please! Is it one of the newer ones with the roastie neck? Quote

Expand No it’s few years old, 2005 camera phone photos. It’s definitely my go to bass. I like the roasted necks but don’t like lacquer on the neck so stick with what I know Quote
danny-79 Posted April 19, 2019 Posted April 19, 2019 Just added custom pick guard and matching control plate 2 Quote
martthebass Posted April 26, 2019 Posted April 26, 2019 Great to have my Sterling back after its visit to Mr Shuker. I wasn’t keen on the bland neck (maple board wax/oil jobbie) so after a conversation with DeeDee the bass was taken into the heart of the Peak District. Very happy with the work, a nice vintage tint gloss and stainless frets - looks awesome. 5 Quote
