I have a flat white one in the post :) it’ll be like your bass had a baby!

Haha, yes indeed. I shall look forward to seeing how yours looks with the white guard on (...not that there's anything wrong with the black one, of course) :)

Maybe one more.. 😁 Tony Levin style "peach" colored SR5.. never took the neck of but I bought it like '92, so early one..

Sold it, regretted it, saw it again at a concert, told the guy I would buy it back whenever, 15 years later he called me up.. He changed the PG to the one on these pictures.. I changed the PG back to as close to original as I could find.. updated pictures to follow whenever I get around to it.. 😅 Let me know what you think..

Hi Palle,

Back in the mists of time, did you also post on the dudepit?

There was a guy there who had an impressive collection of cutlass basses

Will dig out my own photos later

Cheers

Hi @CutlassI and welcome to Basschat and to another MM fan! 👍
I'm mildly curious as to the rectangular marks around the battery cover - looks like tape residue(?). Just wondering if it was simply to cover the battery cover itself or was something else attached here? (I appreciate you might not know if this was something done by the previous owner you mentioned).

That's a fair bit of mojo on your SR5, certainly more than on my own :) (see pic).

Hey.. Yes.!.! I was spending way to much working time hanging out in the Dudepit back then... Did you have another Alias back then.?

I have 3 Cutlass's left but I have to admit that I dont play them at much as they deserve..

Mine started out as white with a plain white pickguard. Born on 5th Dec 1989, over the years the colour has 'matured' into a sort of creamy off-white. I got it in 1997 and the only mod was when I fitted the white pearl guard.

Thank you.. Sweet looking basses.. What happened to the original neck of the 20th anniversary bass? 😁

Hi,

the original Neck is Birdseye maple with a maple fingerboard, and is wrapped up in bubble wrap waiting for me to get an alternative body for the carbon neck,it’s a great bass the maple cap gives it a top end sparkle,

sounds punchy even unplugged.
