Looks like a late 1990 or 1991. Certainly a pre - '94 model. (String mutes, varnished neck / board). The giveaway is the truss rod. They started using the "wheel" adjuster for the truss rod in late 1990. Previous to that it was a bullet truss rod at the head with a "skunk stripe" down the back of the neck. Around '94 they stopped varnishing the neck/board and started using thier "Gunstock oil and hand-rubbed special wax blend". (They also stopped using string mutes about this time).

Bongo 5 - sapphire black with moonstone guard - I got this from bigwan in a trade for my Bongo 4 same colour/config.
came with the Japanese market MM logo'd C&G case and kanda shokai receipt.

I think early 90's, they discontinued those bridges in '93. Great colour :)
