MuddBass
Stingray Special 5 H. I've been after one of these for quite some time, and have been hiding away a few pounds each week in readiness... When this 2018 one came up recently on FB, I took the plunge. Really like the dropped copper colour and (not original) antique perliod scratchplate. I have been tweaking a few things today to get her set to how I would like. I will take her to a gig on Saturday and she can have a run-out on a few numbers. Bunion
My USA Sterling, I picked this up from @Happypants September 2022 was a long time search bass for me after I tried one in the early 90’s I preferred the overall feel and tone to the stingray but at the time I was recording with a stingray and didn’t want to upset the apple cart. Got the full works, string mutes, a beautiful Birdseye maple neck and the ceramic pickup. No matter what happens this is my fall back never sell bass. cheers Jason Edited June 10 by Bunion

Added another SUB a couple of years ago I picked up super cheap and that was my main gigging bass for a good while. About two weeks ago I had the opportunity to grab one of the only 2 Darkrays in NZ. It has not disappointed!! Can’t beat a good coffin case 💥

AndyTravis
Think this is my 12th musicman. My first Sterling. well worn, pearl blue 1999 faded to an almost ocean turquoise/bottle green. Sounds and plays well enough to explain and justify the “road worn” state - It’s cleaned up well - trying some new Hyper Slinkies (40-100) on it.
Doctor J
Lovely. I've had three Rays over the years and never even touched a Sterling. They're a very rare bird over here. I'd love to own one. The slimmer neck is right up my street.

Never understood why they aren’t more popular, maybe the naff name? After many Rays I’m now down to just one EBMM and it’s a Sterling. I nearly sold it a while back, fortunately its lack of popularity meant it wasn’t pounced on quickly and I changed my mind. Enjoy!

Only become a naff name after they decided to call their import range the same, crazy move. 😂 I love my Sterling, cracking neck and a wide array of tones with the dual humbucker set-up.

cd_david
This is my old Bitsa Satterly/Carins/Wilson ‘Ray’. I built it in 93 and sold it/bought it back 3 times. I’m interested in finding it again and buying it back and willing To pay a finders fee if it can be found in good condition. Sold it to RayFw who sold it to danlaw but they haven’t logged in since 2012. Anyone know if it’s where abouts I’d be grateful for any leads. Thanks David

Fortunately it made me see sense and I kept it.
