lonestar Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 (edited) I've tried boiling strings but if they're knackered any iway it brightens them up for a short while and then they die prhetty quickly. King Tut Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 I sometimes put mine in a stone polisher (cylindrical rotating drum) with some white spirit for about 15 mins. Brightens em up for a bit. Not sure how much of the dullness is due to grime in the windings and how much is due to over stretchedress (new technical term there). My method will clean em but can't take out the stretch obviously! Quote
