lowregisterhead Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 That looks like an awful lot of bass for the money! GLWTS.
Scuba_Demon Posted March 8, 2015 Posted March 8, 2015 I second that they are top notch but as Richard said there does not seem to be much love for them round here, which is a shame. Pity they don't have the big F or the big S on the headstock.
rosco Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 I'll 3rd that. Severely underrated and under appreciated on this forum. Insane amount of bass for the money, like many members have said, you're literally getting sadowsky NYC sound and build quality at a 3rd (or less!) of the brand new price. Just stuck a J-East U-Retro in my no.42 recently and it's literally opened up yet another dimension of tonal nirvana. 'Super jazz' defined, with so much low end already resonating from the instrument that I never need more than 4-5 db of bass boost in active mode as it gets too insane! Someone buy this beautiful instrument (and Scuba_Demons!) and let's start getting a proper buzz going about the Valenti name on here!
sirmontofgue Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 Sorry guys been busy the last few days. I know Rich, I can't understand why no-one's interested. It's fantastic bass and sounds unbelievable. Nino is such a sweet guy too. It weighs about 12 kg
sirmontofgue Posted March 10, 2015 Author Posted March 10, 2015 I love the 2 Valenti's I've had/got, fantastic basses!
Beneath It All Posted March 10, 2015 Posted March 10, 2015 12Kgs?; no surprise that it's still available!
richardd Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Are you sure it is 12lbs Monty that seems a bit heavy I would have thought between 9 and 10 Rich
sirmontofgue Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 Just done the bathroom scales weighing again and it is 11.4 lbs. It is quite a heavy bass, but boy does it sound fantastic!
