bubinga5
absolutely incredible synth bass line by Stevie imo.. ok its not on the electric bass, but a bass line is a bass line. the changing between chords are fantastic. and his voice is just incredible. this is not an easy bassline to play on a 4 string. Beautiful. Here's another - https://www.youtube....h?v=0ItPnIG6abg
love it.. great album. his voice is just… thanks man. nothing to do with his bass lines. but just an excuse to post the full 9.30 minutes of this magic. Nate Watts's bassline is just out there. I've heard his bassline isolated with just the drums and its so beautifully played. if there was ever an epic song, this is it, imo. when i first heard this it just blew me away. toneknob
Do I Do is such a brilliant bassline. Here's another favourite, Boogie On Reggae Woman... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t6B7HjiLD0E Transcribed in Bass Player mag December 2007 by Bryan Beller, who describes it as the most challenging bassline ever transcribed in the mag to date. I've heard he recorded this whole song while playing this bass line, i have my doubts to be honest. i just sounds to seamless sound wise.. no doubt he could prob do it, but not with that much improvisation.
