FuNkShUi
So i have this on the way: I love the colour of the bass. But i dont know what to do with the pickguard. Any ideas/suggestions for colour?
discreet
It's nearly there. I think cream would look very classy indeed. Whatever you do, don't give in to any pressure to fit a tort guard or I'll throw up over my keyboard!
Bass_Guardian
Perspex guard!
neepheid
I think white suits it, why not white pearl, just a little fancier than plain white but not too showy or ostentatious.

Mykesbass
3 ply Mint - that white is just a bit too white IMO (the blue is gorgeous though).
discreet
Good that no-one's mentioned the 'T'-word yet - but pearl of any sort is an abomination! Though I suppose it's OK if you want your bass to look like a tart's handbag.

Im not great at visualising things like that though

Lw.
I think one of those gold aluminium ones could look good, though I don't actually like the feel of it when your thumb nail rubs against it.

M@23
I'd leave it as is! But, that's a boring answer, so i'll say mint.
karlfer
Despite what the arbiters of poor taste mumble about, the law is quite clear. In the UK, only 2 kinds of scratchplate are legal; Tort Gold anodised.
MarkG3
I would go with black
darren
This is what I did. I liked the original white one but fancied a change. [Edit] I think I will change it out for a blue pearloid one this year. Kinda like a blue pino Edited February 2, 2015 by darren
discreet
Despite what the arbiters of poor taste mumble about...
Oh no - I didn't mumble. Actually gold anodized would work; mint or parchment would work, too. But cream looks really classy with any kind of blue bass and especially good with blue and maple - it would also impart a little vintage vibe to the ensemble. FuNkShUi
Ooooooo it does look nice with that black one. Yeh Karlfer, im not a fan of tort either. I know i go against the trend on that front, but.......what can i say?!?! Think the Gold anodised is looking favorite. Anyone on here making them to fit now? UglyDog
White pearl, definitely.
kristinaelias
Gold anodized! Would look even better than this - http://www.vintageandrare.com/uploads/products/31516/763625/original.jpg Edited February 2, 2015 by kristinaelias
RhysP
Black or an off white. I don't like tort guards either, but there is a Lake Placid Blue MIJ Precision for sale on here at the moment with a tort guard & I think it looks really nice. FuNkShUi
Im thinking black would look better with a rosewood board rather than maple. Im off to have a look in the Ads to find this lake placid blue with tort guard See if it changes my mind
franzbassist
There can't be too many off the peg choices for a 5 string P, but if I had my choice I'd say mint green or possibly parchment on that lovely.

If I played more than a handful of days a year I'd have bought it. Edited February 2, 2015 by RhysP
