All makes perfect sense to me.

hairychris - you may want to note the following guide to musicians' love lives:

I see they left the keyboards off that version

Dating a musician?

Cut him in half and count the rings ...

For keyboard players, just cut the left hand off and kill two birds with one stone.

What do you call a drummer without a girlfriend?

Homeless.

Sub in the instrument of choice of course, but how often is it the bass player who books the gigs and rehearsals, arranges the transport, has the spare batteries, cables, stands etc.

By being the bass player, there is generally an acceptance that you are playing a supporting and frequently unsung role, but that lack of ego and willingness to see the greater good of the band, might certainly be attractive. Prima donnas and high maintenance arses become very wearing after a while I'm sure if you are dating them. They certainly do in a band.

Ah, Blue, if only we weren't divided by an ocean...

My ex wife moved to The UK a year ago. Somewhere outside of London.

I'm not sure, but I don't think I'm legally allowed anywhere near London.

I really do remember a girlfriend in the 80s being v impressed with my hands! I told her then that dating a bass player had many advantages!!

My wife has always said that bass players know how to use their fingers :)

Laughed out loudly to that :)

Hard lesson to learn. If a woman says she loves music , going to concerts and seeing live bands, That doesn't mean she wants to date a musician or is interested in musicians.
