dasbear69
Has anyone upgraded a bass collection jive bass, pickups, tuners, bridge? Thing is I love the neck especially up by the nut, great for the beadle hands I have. Was thinking sandberg bridge.
gary mac
If you love it, then yes it's worth it, not financially probably but for the pleasure of improving it to your liking. You can always put the original bits back on when if it comes to selling it.

[/quote] Absolutely keep the bits to return it to stock when it comes to selling time - you'll get more for the upgrade parts separately than if they're attached to a bass. dasbear69
Nice One, will give the sandberg bridge a go to start with £50 on ebay. Can you recommend some good budget tuners?
gary mac
I think Wilkinson hardware is very good for the price point. Also unless you are totally sold on the Sandberg bridge, Gotoh bridges are well engineered and good value. Often coming up on Ebay for between £20-30. dasbear69
Yeah Have a Gotoh 201 on my Ibanez Blazer, would like to try the sandberg as it's more like the hipshot A Bridge, do Gotoh do a hipshot style bridge? Wilkinson tuners any good?
