mikechapmanhill Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I want to change the pots and caps to go with some Seymour Duncan Quarterpounders in my Squier 70s CV P-Bass and have decided on these pots http://ebay.eu/1zRAzpc but I'm not sure on caps yet. I'm thinking 0.047 microfarad orange drops, but I'm not sure what the difference in voltage makes? Could anyone help me out? Cheers Quote
ubit Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Try asking Koigon, he's the man for that info Quote
gary mac Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Yep, what Ubit said. I've fitted quarter pounders to a couple of P basses and both times got the wiring looms, caps and pots from Kiogon. Quote
Lozz196 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Thirded, Ki0gons wiring looms are great pieces of kit and make connecting new pickups a doddle. Quote
Marvin Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Another heads up for kiOgon. Drop hom a PM, say what you're wanting sound amd tone wise...he gives great advice Quote
miles'tone Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Ditto all the above. I've pieced together my own wiring looms before and seriously, save yourself the hassle and give KiOgon a pm. All the top quality bits you would buy anyway, solderless pup/earth wire connectors and the price is right. Piece o cake. Edited February 6, 2015 by miles'tone Quote
ubit Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 KiOgon, I got de name wrong mon, but ya got the drift! Quote
darren Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 KiOgon made a wiring loom for me. Great advice and great quality. Quote
HowieBass Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 There's not a great deal of voltage going through any tone capacitor in a bass so the different voltage ratings shouldn't make any difference. Quote

hamfist Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 I'm not doubting Kiogon's excellent work, but there must be a complete lack of soldering ability on this board. Banging together a decent wiring loom yourself is actually a piece of cake for anyone with a modicum of ability and a tiny bit of motivation to learn how to solder. Quote

Also, some people have of a complete lack of available time to research it and do it. Quote
