A walking bass line confuses the hell out of mine! You can set it to a specific key but that's not ideal for (for instance) songs with key changes or major to minor changes or even the chorus in a different key, very rough way for it to work. When plugged into a keyboard or guitar and with someone that knows what they're doing with their voice they are simply brilliant though. [/quote] Thanks Bob, Yeah, everyone has been telling me it's not what I'm looking for. I merely want a pedal to beef up a few simple backgrounds vocals ( think Beatles, Get Back). I have a Boss VE20 to help with our BV's its useful for me as I usually sing flat and it 'autotunes' me (sorta) at the same time.....never had any feedback issues with my bass though. lowlandtrees Posted February 7, 2015 Share Posted February 7, 2015 I use the Helicon Voice works for my vocals and recently for my tenor sax. never used it for bass. You have to be really careful....you can get a very 'wet' sound. It is very fiddly to set up but I like it a lot especially used sparingly for vocals. You can get it to play a chord off of one note but it can be a very digital sound. The newer versions ....you probably know...channel your voice through the guitar and the harmonies follow the guitar chords. Our singer has a tc electronics version......I am not too impressed yet but he does not know how to set it up and there are cables everywhere. I would say that if you are the type of person who likes to fiddle with settings then you will get it to work for you. Best to record and play it back before going live with it.
