JamesBass Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 So I've recently got my audio interface and want to be able to make use of it by recording some new covers as a promo tool, but don't have the knowledge of where I'd find the backing tracks of these songs? Anyone able to help me out? Quote
MarkW Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I use Karaoke Version: http://www.karaoke-version.co.uk/custombackingtrack/. You can drop the bass (or any other track) out of the final mix, and change the key. Pretty cool! Quote
xilddx Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 There is something called Anusol if you need the jazz backing tracks. Quote

The I Need a Dollar one sounds very staccato and just not right! Cheers though
There is something called Anusol if you need the jazz backing tracks.
Awesome! Some of them are fairly decent, at least for my very basic purposes. Quote

Dad3353 Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 (edited) Lay down some more. The more tracks you lay down, the better. Edited February 6, 2015 by Dad3353 Quote
stubass Posted February 6, 2015 Posted February 6, 2015 We use karaoke version, never for vocals though. Its Ok for just plucking out keys or brass. If it's really bad, we tend to lay it down ourselves, but that can actually be worse depending on who does it. I do like the idea of using a bass track and looking like I'm a rock star sometimes, instead of ye olde deathly stare at the fretboard Quote
