So we a have a couple of tours coming up in May and June, and I am looking for things to do around the UK, just little short stops whilst travelling, things to see, places to visit etc.

Where would anyone recommend stopping/visiting/seeing on our way past if we go anywhere near?

Strange/weird/unique/gear orientated things all preferred :)

Cheers.

Go Ape is always fun and a laugh - The 'Tree Top Adventure' is really fun - Not good if you dont like heights though!

But its the Zip lines that are the most fun I thought!

What may help you, is if you tell us whereabouts on the uk ( and a round what time of year) you intend to be in.
Sorry to sound odd, but it may narrow things down etc.
Have a bump on the thread any way ;)

May tour is gonna be Middlesbrough, Manchester, Norwich, Cardiff, Brighton and London, in that order. So anywhere in or around those places is cool :) Cheers.
June is TBC.

Things to do in the UK:

Have conversations/moan about the weather.

Join a queue, especially if you don't know what it's a queue for.

If you consistently do these two things then no one will know you're not from round these parts.

Go to Cardiff city centre & see a load of shops that every other city has got.

Go down to Cardiff Bay & marvel at the way a vibrant multicultural community was destroyed & replaced by a load of sh*tty chain restaurants & places for rich people to moor their boats.

London -

Bass Gallery in Camden and Wunjos in Tott Court Rd for shopping

Brick Lane to eat expensive cereal in a restaurant and drink tea with cats with the hipsters (or just grab a coffee and laugh at the weirdos/hipsters :-)

Yep, that sums up the bay.

Castle is worth a visit though.

If you're in Bristol check out Electric Ladyland. It's a strange sort of music shop where sometimes the owner Steve will actually let customers buy something.

Cardiff is GREAT! Some of the inhabitants are a bit grumpy though...

After the last time I was in Cardiff I wasn't allowed to sneeze for a month.

Shame it's not in September, as Ramsbottom (North Manchester) hosts the official World Black Pudding Throwing Championships. We get it every year, strange how we manage to beat off the competition year after year….

Definitely weird, mostly fun, certainly unique...
