cameltoe
Hi all, Looking for a deep, fat sounding drive. The drive needs to be able to do subtle, and capable of dialling in just a little bit of dirt, but i need it to be deeply voiced and bassy. I currently run an EHX Black Russian or Danelectro Cool Cat fuzz (v1) to almost get the effect I'm after, both with hardly any gain and the tone rolled back for minimal break up. Oh and it needs to have a small footprint as space is premium! Any ideas? Thanks!
KingBollock
Out of my pedals, being the only ones I have personal experience with, I would suggest the Digitech Bass Driver fits what you're after. Very bassy and versatile, too. And not expensive if cost is an issue. I love mine.
Byo
The Beta drive may be what you are looking for, it is certainly deep.
dannybuoy
+1 for the Beta. Definitely fat in the lows, it boost the bass.
cameltoe
Sounds good, will check it out. I've got serious vintage microtubes GAS at the moment too!

dannybuoy
The SFT is certainly warm, but doesn't have really deep bass I find. If you try and boost it it sounds bad since the EQ is before the clipping section. Nice pedal though, and it was my main od until the Bearfoot Blueberry arrived (so check that out too!). The BB Preamp is another one worth a look, since it has a hi/lo EQ that can give a healthy wallop of boost. I hear that the Digitech Hardwire CM-2 is comparable if you want something cheaper and easier to find. Downside of the Beta though is that the bass boost is always there, and it always sounds a tad dark even with the tone all the way up. Guest monsterthompson
Bearfoot Blueberry Bass OD (BBBOD). As a VMT Deluxe owner, it is not what you are looking for in this case, but may be of value for other reasons.
fretmeister
DOD Boneshaker. New pedal from NAMM. Looks perfect.

Guest FretNoMore
Bearfoot Blueberry Bass OD (BBBOD). ...
+1 on the Bearfoot Blueberry, it's my current low drive favourite. (Don't get the Mad Professor Blueberry though, it's not as good). The SolidGoldFX Beta is nice too but the low end bump can be is a bit too much. EBS MultiDrive isn't bad either.
