molan Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Jimmy Coppolo produces basses that no-one else quite matches for perfect vintage tone and, a big point of difference against an actual vintage instrument, he makes them with 5 strings! This LM5 is his late 70's, Marcus type, bass. I've played it briefly and it sounded just great, one of he best LM's I've heard. Anyone after a really high quality bass that cops a perfect 70's tone but with added benefit of a 5th string and Jimmy's lovely, musical, active boost pre, should try this out
fingerz Posted May 19, 2015 Author Posted May 19, 2015 Thanks Barrie. This bass is surplus to my requirements right now, but it really is killing. I used it for a very long gig with a recording becoming available soon - sounds great in the band. Nothing I've played is quite like this, Jimmy does a great job in producing that feel and tone jazz bass guys like myself have grown to find so practical.
fingerz Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 Bass is still looking for the right owner bump
