Oldman
I am contemplating changing the string set up on my Thumb from EADG to BEAD. Is this just a matter of changing the little screws on the Nut, moving them along and popping in the 'B' where the 'E' was? Or is it more complicated and will the tension be a tad too much for the four string neck? It is an '88 NT and I don't want to wreck it as I've had it from new. Anyone help me on this please Thanks
geoffbyrne
Shouldn't be a prob - tension's actually less on BEAD. G.

tauzero
Did you try the obvious place? Dazed
Be wary of the b string fitting ok in the bridge. I'm sure I've read there can be issues and sometimes tapered strings needed to be used.
