At a local jam

Hi all, thought I'd check in and update you on my progress

I've been working hard on teaching myself bass for 18 months now and here is some footage at a local blues jam - I made up the bass line (only because I had no idea how the actual one went haha!) which I was quite pleased with except for the odd slip here and there - you can't really hear the bass through a laptop very well - I stuck my headphones on

Hey that's pretty damn good considering you've only been playing 18 months
Quite brave of you too, to be playing with other musicians who look like they've been playing a while

Don't worry about the odd "slip" here and there
They happen - the important thing is to keep the groove

Heard the bass fine through some earphones - sounds fine in the mix
nice & audible among drums & 2 guitars

Nice colour purple Ibanez bass too

Sounds good to me on my iPad Good stuff. I was nowhere near that standard at18 months . Keep going

Thanks - I've jammed with them all before on the Sax but I was still bricking it a bit lol!
The bass is my favourite colour - couldn't resist it!

Thanks, I have had a bit of head start as I play and teach Sax, but the technical aspects of playing the bass are keeping me on my toes!!
