harrypatrickgolding
I have a S.U.B. STERLING RAY 4 by Musicman and one of the knobs (the treble) the knob has become loose and does not turn aswell. The control is very loose but working. Nothing out of ordinary happened, just noticed it the other day. Can I fix it? If so, how? Can a shop or guitar shop? Les
The knobs look like the Stingrays in which case the is a small screw at the side that locks the knob to the stem of the pot. Undo it and take the knob off, then make sure the nut that holds the pot to the control plate is tight and the whole thing isn't turning, if it's fine it's prob the screw that holds the knob on needs a tighten. stingrayPete1977
A tiny dab of super glue on the grub screw in the knob after you have made sure the whole pot is tight might be wise if it has come loose before, it can still be removed if need be but wont fall off mid gig! ColinB
I'd go for a tiny dab of clear nail varnish....just in case your tiny dab of super glue is a tiny bit too big!
