Do you like these? I recently saw one in a shop and really liked it.

Yeah, fun basses, unique tone but oh so heavy for a short scale during this period. Put some flats on and you'll have the Air - Moon Safari sound, I remember a lot of people going nuts for that tone in the late 90's, some say it was a MM but who knows?

I used to have a couple of 71 Musicmasters, one original and one heavily modded with P Bass pickups, they are much lighter with amazing necks, but certainly not the best basses out there.

My first ever bass was a 79 Musicmaster. Bought brand new from the Soho Soundhouse in Leicester Square.

Kept it for many years and, foolishly, sold it to buy a synth :(
