Looks like yet another device designed to make bass players obsolete! ;)

I thought that was what forums were for ;-) a distraction from playing lol

No way! I play while I'm reading posts and practice my pull-offs (fnarr) while typing replies with the other hand. :)

Don't get it..

I imagine its so you can play chords on the D and G string and have a different sound to the bass line you're playing on the E and A strings. Pretty flipping niche though I would've thought.

Historically lots of stringed instruments have had strings in pairs, so perhaps not as odd as it might look.

TBH I'd be surprised if somebody hasn't already had their pickups routed to separate destinations. Expressively it opens things up enormously, and on reflection it seems such an obvious thing to do.

Ten or fifteen years ago I'd have jumped at something like this, especially on my acoustic.

Oh the humanity!

I bought a X&M pedal from SFX so I could have my octave pedal on the higher frequency notes.

If this had been out last year I could have got one of these, a second head and even more cabs to accomplish the same thing. :D

Very poorly designed IMO. Look at all that stuff to get in the way of your picking/strumming hand. And where is the lead supposed to go?

If I wanted something like that I'd have it unobtrusively built in to my guitar.
