louisthebass Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Found this on YouTube - thought it was a really good insight from three L.A. studio bassists on how the industry and session bass playing has changed in the last 40 odd years: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSJeXvCqgeo&index=2&list=WL Apologies if this has been posted before? discreet Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Thanks for this, I'll have a look later. Quote
JTUK Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I saw this some time ago. Recently saw Glaub with Jackson Brown but I liked his chat..especially when he named a major artist calling him fo a tour and he said he didn't want to do it. He must have worked at a time when they made very decent money Goes well with the other thread about how much the big gigs pay these days.. Quote
DaveFry Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 I hope it would be not too OT to add this in here ; An interview with Larry Klein , Marcus Miller and Don Was about bass players as Producers . Quote
JTUK Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Wow, Larry Klein hung my computer.... or did he just send it to sleep. Thankfully MM was there to wake it up Quote
