Received the new THUNDER CD Wonder Days a few days and I must say it's a real return to form from the band, terrific songs, great playing and singing, couple of live videos below of some the new songs on the CD.

John :)

There are a few new releases from classic rock acts this and next month - Thunder, The Answer, UFO, Black Star Riders and Europe. I'm going to see the last three play live and will probably pick up the albums in due course.

I've had a listen and I concur, great new material and they sound as fresh as ever. Why this band were not huger than they are is beyond me !

Slightly off topic, saw Chris & Harry play with "Bad Influence" a few times at The Windsor Castle in Carshalton - great rhythm section!! :).

Did you ever see Terraplane at all - drummer, guitarist and singer were all in the band (early 80s). Danny Bowes was phenomenal - very Marriott-esque..

To be honest, I didn't, although I did see Thunder at Wembley Arena (possibly 1989 or 1990) when they were the support band for Heart - nearly 25 years ago (feeling old now....).

[/quote]Chris's playing with Bad Flatulence was a big influence on me when I started playing.

I have my ticket for Thunder at The 'ammersmith, the last time I saw them at the Astoria they were brilliant, best gig ever type of brilliant.

Just picked this up today, £12 for the 2 disk version with the live gig included which seemed reasonable. Something else to amuse me over the weekend as I have no gigs.

The singer in a band I've been doing some work with is recording at the moment with Ben Mathews.

He says he's a great player in the studio and everyone else in the band is in awe of him :)

I'm just back from their gig at the Hammersmith, a really quality show, live video screen also used for some other images, monstrous lighting show and even a half decent bass sound (Chris was using a Ric, a little bottom heavy, but nicely audible). Ben was looking well following his cancer treatment and everyone moved around the stage nicely. Support was from a Tax The Heat, who were really good, and Reef, who really weren't. £35 well spent :)

Did yous hear them on Terry Wogans show? There's a clip online of their performance. They were brilliant. The harmonies amazing. A really good band !

I really loved Thunder back in the day, need to check this new album out now.

Btw, in response to the above, The Electric Boys played the Classic Grand in Glasgow about six months ago, the singer in my band went, along with about 14 other people who were THE crowd!
