Guest MoJo
Rant alert 'Doesn't affect playability'. An often used phrase used in listings. If it relates to a chip in the edge of the fretboard or an area of wear on the back of the neck, use of the phrase is understandable but, I swear, I recently spotted a listing that stated, 'some rust on the pickup screws but doesn't affect playability'. How the hell would rusty screws affect playability? Rant over
Cameronj279
People are silly enough to put it in their listings but people are also silly enough to ask the question in the first place. I'm sure we've all asked something stupid at some point...I do it all the time (although not quite that daft).
itsmedunc
I have seen many things on Ebay that look like they have been dredged from the canal. It could be a clever disclaimer!
Lozz196
Maybe there have been some unsatisfied or picky buyers who`ve tried to get things on a knock-down once received, stating these things, so people are listing every fault/blemish/imperfection imaginable so that people can`t come back at them and state "oh there`s a dent on the back, need to knock a tenner off for that". chaypup
Almost as annoying as "in perfect condition except for..." Or "all original apart from..." Well it isn't then is it!!!
HowieBass
And to think some people actually seek out rusty everything on reliced instruments...
