wingnutkj
Just noticed Mr Foxen's status update that Steve Wishnevsky of Wishbass fame's workshop has burned down, and figured it needed a thread. Regardless of what you think of his basses*, it's a terrible thing to happen. Truckstop
Oh god, what a disaster! Gutting that he won't get any insurance payout either. I wish him the best of luck.

KiOgon
Gutted! Horrible thing to loose your workshop, lucky no loss of life, could have been much worse!
KevB
What's the deal with wish basses - are they made to order? If so I guess there will be folks with part completed instruments that will never arrive and may have laid down deposits that they won't get back? It's a sickener all round for retailer and customer alike.
BassBod
Sorry to hear that...poor fella. Hope he gets back to it. Whatever you may think of his work, the world needs people like that.
UglyDog
A dreadful thing to happen and I bet the poor guy is heartbroken.
The building and contents were not insured because his company, Wishbass, is on property zoned for residential, not business.
So this even affects cottage industry then? Does this mean if you run a business of any sort from home, you've got to live in a business zone in order to get insured for it? That sounds very restrictive. lee4
Absolute sickener for one of the mavericks of bass design. I hope he gets back on his feet soon.
