Just bought the Warm Audio Tone Beast TB12 pre, used it on this track, vocals, guitars and bass all recorded using a modded Rode NT2 (available from a guy on eBay for £49 massive improvement in mic quality) through the TB12.

What do you think?
Lovely! Would love some more info on the signal chains.

How much gain does the TB12 have on tap? I'm a big ribbon mic fan, and generally like pushing gain on mics for a tiny bit more response anyway.
Here's a link to the specs as I am no expert but it says it has 71db of gain. You seem to be able to really push it as its designed for that. Hope this helps thanks for feedback :) Also DI ing Bass and Guitar straight in is awesome, you can get so many different sounds.
That's a lovely three dimensional sound from the mic/pre combination - do you record using 88.2 or 96k by any chance?
I am recording at 48k I think, I am no expert at this recording lark I am just learning. Thanks for feedback, just getting brave enough to attempt vocals :)
Man, with that sort of quality at 48k - I'm confident you'll love working at 88.2 ( it's like lifting a blanket off your monitors...) :D

Again, great song and mix... please keep 'attempting' those vocals so I can hear more of your work. B)
Will try that on the next thing I do and see what it turns out like, thanks for the feedback!
