yorks5stringer
If we bought it and burnt it, who would end up with the 'good quality strap'?
ras52
Another theory: he actually has no intention of selling it, it's his pride and joy and he just wants to show it off!

40hz
Has anyone actually tried to enter dialogue with him? And let him know that this POS is worth absolutely nothing?. That said I've followed it for so long I'm becoming strangely attracted to it
Kairyu
Does he actually think his bass is more valuable than this? http://www.luxuo.com/most-expensive/bass-guitar.html One could buy 40 of these for what he's asking (Well, more actually as its in dollars). colgraff
I'd buy it but I'm saving for this house instead http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/property/luxury-homes/9940085/15-amazing-multi-million-pound-properties-in-London.html?frame=2513654
ras52
On the plus side, the shipping cost of £12.50 seems quite reasonable.
Matt P
I found this after a bit of a google, looks like a 10 string version sold for $560 a good few years ago, not exactly cheap but it does look like it might actually be playable though. http://www.bass-guit...G-ELECTRIC-BASS and I've just had a look at the sellers other items and found this! colgraff
I've offered him £50 for it. I reckon I'd get that much entertainment value out of it, except that he won't accept the offer.
Twincam
I entered a reasonable convo with him. His reply seems fairly sensible. "The bass was a curiosity that I bought for £2500 about 8 years and as it was in need of work. I replaced the frets, pickups and hardware. The bridge was shot and so, I replaced it with monorail saddles and a steel bar which holds intonation and sustain perfectly. The strings are from Octave4Plus and were £500 for the set. Obviously, I can't recoup the price but, I would be looking for £1800 or thereabouts. It comes with a heavy leather strap and a hard case." So now we know a little more on it anyhow. I think it needs to go to the infamous mr cleartone of eBay and have it converted to a ten string for sausage fingers haha, well at least it would be a bit more playable having the strings on the fretboard. Still not worth 1800 I was hoping he would say a few hundred and for a laugh I would have bought it and donated it to the bc members as a "curiosity". 40hz
I cannot believe he spent £2500 on it. I think he's very clearly having a bubble
