40hz
My Flea has the obp-1. All I can say is it has an almost unreal amount of power on tap. So much gain (almost too much). The bass control is very powerful and subtle. The treble has a wide range and almost acts like a tone control too. Great pre-amp. More musical useful settings than the Glockenlang I had on my Sandberg.

Aero71
OBP-1 is a beast. Have one in my Spector Euro4, together with EMG's they rock.
krispn
Hey I had the external unit (on two different occasions) and loved it. Added a really musical oomph to the bass sound - as you may already have read Aguilar made the Sadowsky veriosn originally before branding them as ther OBP-1. If you are fitting this circuit to a bass make sure and have the passive tone option (but that might only be available on the Sadowsky preamp)- it allows one to dial in the brightness but pull back a bit overall with the passive tone - it just tames the top end a bit. I should add originally I used a A/B loop to pull the OBP-1 -the DB924 I think it was called - in when needed but then just kept in on all the time as my magic box of tone!
