Sevefan
Hi Forum, My first post and have just bought my first bass guitar! Can anyone recognise the make of it? It's obviously Korean but apart from the V on the headstock there's nothing else. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.
BassBus
At a guess I'd say it is a Vester. Google images show the same V on other headstocks of Vester basses.

HazBeen
99.9% sure it is a Vantage, they used to stick a V at the top of the headstock and it looks like one of the several fonts they used. This seems to be a Samick era Vantage, as that is when they were made in Korea and not in the Matsumoku factory in Japan. Vantage was discontinued mid nineties, this is probably early '90s. BassBus
Looked again and would have to agree with HazBeen.

Sevefan
Wow!! That's brilliant guys, I really appreciate that. Thanks for taking the time to source this. He's offering me this guitar and a 20W amp for £70, all in good order. Sound reasonable? Better get back to more practice now. Keep a look out for me on TV in 25 years time, I'll only be in my early 70's. PS. Great forum, lots of useful posts.
