stubass
Whilst enduring a generic romantic comedy starring that Vince Vaughan and someone from friends with the wife last night, I stumbled across the cash converters "webshop", and a cheeky low offer I made for a maple necked white Mexican p has just been accepted. Thanks Vince Vaughan Anyway, anyone else had any bargain success at shop Le cashconverters? Pictures were poor but description says it's in top nick, and their terms and conditions state that I can send it back for a full refund/replacement if the description is inaccurate or item is not as described, ie fake. Worth a punt me thinks. PS there is a spector on there too just now but I don't know enough about them to know if it's a good price, link... http://webshop.cashconverters.co.uk/auction-item/747792/spector-bass-guitar Bass category..... http://webshop.cashconverters.co.uk/auction-items/23/Bass Edited February 27, 2015 by stubass
Oh the pain that nut must be in! That's it though, if the previous owner couldn't fit strings, what else has been fiddled with? Good price on the shergold too, wonder what they'd say if the buyer was to arrange a courier themselves? Hmmm!
KevB
Roland Cube 100 for £100 doesn't look bad assuming it's not been abused, might get it even cheaper if not many bid for it. They are around £260 new or more. Edited February 27, 2015 by KevB

TheGreek
I bought a TE combo from my local CC - I'd agreed to buy it at £200 with the assistant before asking (cheekily) "what's your best price?" - "we'll take £160" - I was a bit bemused as I thought he might drop a fiver at best..supposed he dropped the price in expectation of the Chiropractor's bill.. BassBunny
Pal of mine got a US P Bass for £125 from CC In Eccles. Later on got a Mustang Bass from same one for £40. He cleaned them both up and after using them for a couple of years traded the 2 of them for a brand new Stingray 5.

BassBunny
The price on the MB MultiAmp is a bit steep at £1000. Only £80 cheaper than a new/boxed/warranty one.

HowieBass
That Spector is missing a saddle for the G... how difficult are they to source?
Not difficult. But if it's a Performer or a Legend it's not much of a bargain, really. The pics on this site are uniformly bloody awful, aren't they!? They'd see at least a 100% improvement in sales with some decent pics. Looks like they've been taken by an employee in the shop on their phone. And very badly at that. Number6
Had a look at the Shergold (yeah right)..... Neck and tuners are interesting.... Neck plate is wonky but has a serial number and the screws look like normal countersunk head woodscrews. Strings are ancient and rusty and body is very light. Original price was £499.00 !!!
