dezb1
Am going to be standing in for the Bass player in my brother in-law's band, not sure how long for (their bass player is getting a hernia sorted) so I don't want to spend a lot of cash on an amp, so I was thinking get a half decent DI. Been doing a bit of internet research / trawling to see what is in my cheap price bracket and found this: Anyone tried one would like a more personal opinion... barnsie
The Sparrow is very nice and a bargain if you shop at Coda currently. It's 98% of a Sansamp at pocket money price. That said I'm waiting on a Dave Hall Amplification VT1 as I want a real tube for my tube tone.

lefrash
Had one for a wee while. Sounds great. Really cheap. If you want that particular tone then it does it really well.
dezb1
Well I gave it a try, arrived the other night had a shot through the PA... Best £25 I've spent in a while, get's the bass tones I need - just using the Harmonics knob after setting up the desired base sound gets loads of great usable sounds. I'm not a time served bass player but I highly recommend this thing. Edited March 4, 2015 by dezb1
