Marvin Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 (edited) Yamaha TRBX504 in black - Price Drop £230 Great build quality and has some really great features. It has both active and passive options. The active circuit enables good adjustments. The passive is a really handy feature, firstly if you've forgotten to pack any spare batteries but also I've used it to achieve a very convincing old school tone. (The passive tone control can sound a bit 'on or off') The neck is slim and very easy to play, similar to the Ibanez SR range. The bass is well balanced and sits nicely on a strap and I've found it comfortable even when playing for long periods of time. Detailed spec from the Yamaha site and link: http://usa.yamaha.co...s/trbx/trbx504/ Scale Length: 34'' (863.6mm) Neck: Maple and Mahogany 5pc Fingerboard: Rosewood Radius: 10'' (250mm) Nut Width: 38mm Body: Solid Mahogany Tuners: Die-cast Bridge: Die-cast 19mm Pickups: HHB5n (Alnico V), HHB5b (Alnico V) Controls: Master Volume, Pickup Balancer, Bass, Middle, Treble and Active-Passive switch (Battery Alert LED on back) Hardware: Black Nickel It's in good condition, I've still got the plastic that sits around the controls to say what they do. When not being played it's kept in a hard foam case (the case isn't included I'm afraid). I've still got the box and packaging it came in, so postage is an option (by arrangement). Mornats Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 These have really nice necks and a great range of tones. Very solidly built too. And light!
discreet Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Nice looking bass, and a great price too... have you got one in white..?
Marvin Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 I'm afraid we only have this lovely Translucent Black example, we never stocked white
These have really nice necks and a great range of tones. Very solidly built too. And light!
The necks are nice and slim, bit like an Ibanez SR.
discreet Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 Hmm... tempting, even in black. It's not a lot of cash for what it is... but I have something I need to buy first.
Marvin Posted April 15, 2015 Author Posted April 15, 2015 Bump. This is quite a lump of bass for not a lot of cash
Marvin Posted April 17, 2015 Author Posted April 17, 2015 Dropping this to £230. You'll be gettin' a wreet bargain. Postage can be arranged, I still have the packaging and boxes it came in.
Marvin Posted April 19, 2015 Author Posted April 19, 2015 Bump. I can do postage for £10 (around half actual cost).
Marvin Posted July 26, 2015 Author Posted July 26, 2015 Still available bump. Friend of mine was really interested but series of unexpected expenses means he's out of cash for a long time.
