Deedee Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Hi all All in the title really. Does anybody have any tips or tricks to stop a bridge grub screw from rattling in its saddle? It's as if the screw has gone slack. Cheers Quote
HowieBass Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Drop of clear nail varnish on the top of the screw so it flows into the thread. If you already have some then clear touch up car lacquer used in the same way. Quote

xilddx Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Tiny bit of carrier bag plastic around the screw. Stretch it around the grub screw and it acts like plumber's tape but much much thinner. Quote
3below Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Copydex on thread or if you are feeling rich 'threadlock'. Quote
Deedee Posted March 1, 2015 Author Posted March 1, 2015 Hmmm.... Well the car lacquer trick hasn't worked so I think I'll have to try one of the other options. I'll keep you posted Cheers Quote
Deedee Posted March 4, 2015 Author Posted March 4, 2015 Well, tried a dab of clear nail varnish and I do believe it's done the trick! Must have a slightly different consistency to the lacquer. Cheers Quote
Dad3353 Posted March 4, 2015 Posted March 4, 2015 'Rattling Bridge Saddle Screw'... Hmm... Good name for a band..? Quote
