Hi guys. If anyone would like a 24" Widescreen TV that has problems with the colour (everything comes up a bit red), then let me know. It's free and I'll even help you carry it out to your car.

To put it back into tip-top condition would cost the price of getting a TV repairman to tinker with it. Given how cheap LCD TVs are these days, you might not want to bother with an old-fashioned CRT. But anyway, my one's on offer.

That sounds like it could be a problem with outboard cables as opposed to the actual TV? (Sorry if im insulting your intelligence and you've obviously already explored this! :) )

Nah, I'm pretty sure it's a problem with the actual tube inside. If it is a problem with the cables, then you can have a fully functioning TV for nothing.

Well, maybe I should give it to a TV repairman - won't cost him anything to fix and then he can always give it to someone as a present... possibly a museum.

Believe me, I've been tempted. The only trouble is I'd get arrested for it - and then the council would probably charge me thousands for repairs to the pavement.

Whatever happened to rock star immunity?
