Sarah5string
In other words... what song do you ALWAYS mess up.. regardless of how much you practice it.... For me it's Incubus Wish you were here.... it's becoming a bit of a band joke now!!!
Bilbo
Teen Town by Pastorius - I am sure I could play it when I was 17 but now, bluggered if I know why I can't nail the sucker (with hindsight, maybe I only THOUGHT I could do it at 17?). The Funk
Game, a song I wrote! I made the main riff slightly fiddly just to see if I could trip up the guitarist. After a little work and a few teething problems, he has it down - but I fumble it every time now!
coasterbass
Knights of Cydonia. Can't play that fast for that long. Must Practice More
Kiwi
For a while it was... "Valerie" I kept missing the repeat in the second verse, some of the singers were getting used to turning around and fixing me with The Eye at that point in the song and... ...it STILL didn't help. Although I made the mistake less frequently. Eventually I cottoned on though and play it without incident now.
silverfoxnik
'Love Foolosophy' by Jamiroquoi... Awful, awful piece of music, albeit a great bassline! I've never liked JK, the song or any of his other stuff and partly because I'm not good enough and partly because I dislike the song so much, I have never played it well or properly in the 2 years I've been in the band (terrible attitude I know). Fortunately, using a slow and subtle brain-washing tactic on all of the members of the band has meant that we've slowly begun to drop it from our set.. I'm much, much happier now
rbatts2000
Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen. The rocky part always gets me as we play it quite late on in our last set and my fingers are beginning to tire. Must Practice More
Old Horse Murphy
I always get the last bass run in Get It On wrong. I always start too early
phil_the_bassist
BIlly Idol, White Wedding. I hate it, I Hate It, *I HATE IT* I've never got around to actually listening to the song, but I've never got the lead break bit as I zone out and just chug along, busking all the way. Did i mention that I hated that bloody song?
waynepunkdude
Johnny Quest Think We're Sellouts - Less Than Jake. I'm fine with it till the break down then I forget how to play it
Jobiebass
YYZ - Rush. Granted, i only learnt the first 3rd of the song, but still. Impossible. And for some reason I always screw up Sitting on a dock of a bay. How I dont know, but I always do.

Josh
Sir Duke, only the sodding pentatonic run, 8 out of every 10 times I get it right
Alastair
Green Day's longview, the bloody transitions between riffs (or lack of, more like) always gets me!

Alastair
Doesn't help that the line is so important to that song too. Any fluffs, no matter how minor, are so obvious as a result
