ped Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I just had a listen, I like the way they are mixed and they really washed over me nicely whilst I was working, so thanks a lot. Where are you guys from, I would imagine this to be great live music, too. ped Quote
planethead Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 (edited)
Hey Guys, Here's the three songs my new band recorded last month. >>>>snipped>>> Feedback mucho appreciated!!
Ok here's M2CW straight from the hip - like the feel/vibe of track 1 - like the bass line on track 2 but don't like the distortion on the bass - track 3 didn't move me either way like the singers voice; tight sound overall; balanced arrangements; drum sound's a bit 'pinched' for my taste. stonecoldbass Posted August 18, 2008 Author Posted August 18, 2008 Thanks for the feedback guys. We're based in Edinburgh mainly. If you check out our myspace ChapterOne there is a video of the last 2 songs from our debut gig. They're 2 of the mp3's that are up here so might make for good comparisons. cheers! craig Quote
stingrayfan Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Sounds really good. You're locked in nicely with the drummer, which is great. Lots of space to it all, like it. Quote
slaphappygarry Posted September 2, 2008 Posted September 2, 2008 Sounds awesome man. You and JB are really solid together as a rhythm section. Love the chicks voice too. What was the bass signal chain? Some of your effects are wicked! Gx Quote
stonecoldbass Posted December 15, 2008 Author Posted December 15, 2008 Cheers Garry, Yar, it's so much easier playing with a good drummer, not fighting to find the groove. The signal chain for recording was: Sadowsky 5 MXR Bass DI M80 TL Audio Valve Pre, Mac. It's all in the fingers ;-) We're gigging in the Renfrew Ferry in Glasgow in January if anyone is interested. cheers! craig Quote
