Depending on the ISP, the best that can be achieved without a warrant is tracing it to a particular exchange, which generally only confirms what we already know.

This may be the guy in question... if so this business address is listed on his website.

Please bare in mind the Liam Carter I mention above MAY NOT be the same person who stole your money... but I would be very surprised if it was not him, everything points toward this person.
