Hi Bass chatters

I'm selling my first upright. It's a 3/4 sized Antoni Debut Bass with a Fishman Full Circle pickup fitted.

I bought this bass off my DB teacher who was given it by a friend. He vetted the bass before selling it to me and and he said it was a great beginner upright and It's served me well. It has a great full sound and is really solid without any rattles. I had the bass set up by Paul Bryant as he lives round the corner from my in-laws, he changed the strings and re-shaped the bridge and nut for me. This was over a year ago now and I've changed the strings a few times since then so could probably do with a bit of a setup, but it's in great playable condition as is.

I've played the bass with a few bands at gigs and recording sessions. Engineers love the sound of the Fishman Full Circle, it gives a great 'natural' sound.

The bass is of laminate construction with an ebonized fingerboard. It's in great condition with just a couple of marks (see pics). It's currently strung with innovation honeys, I'll chuck in some Innovation Super Silvers if the buyer wants them too.

This is a great example of a 'cheap chinese bass' and would suit a beginner or would be great as a beater for gigs where you don't want to take your 'vintage' bass. If I could afford it and had the room I'd keep this but I'm sticking with my Stagg EUB as a back up bass as I need the silent practice that affords.

It comes with a cheap cover and bow too.

I'm asking for £500 for this collected from Manchester (I'm in Dukinfield 5 mins from the M60) or I can deliver if you cover my fuel, I often travel to Shropshire and Worcestershire as I have family there.

Hi Phil.

That's why I bought it. I learnt the basics, got a grasp of what the instrument was about and without the outlay of a pricier instrument in case upright wasn't for me.

I recently made a 700 mile round trip for a bass. They are the kind of instrument that you may need to travel for, and usually worth it ;).
